Cubes and Anarchy

David Smith: Cubes and Anarchy is the first major exhibition devoted to David Smith in almost half a century.  Some of his largest and most celebrate works are included in the exhibition exploring the theme of geometry.  Smith was exposed to cubism in his art studies in the 1920's and carries this theme and sympathy for the working class through his work. Through July 24th in the Resnick Pavilion of LACMA. Easy to make an afternoon viewing and visiting Ray's and Stark Bar, LACMA's newest restaurant designed by Renzo Piano. http://www.lacma.org/
