Susie Dobson and I celebrated contemporary art in Los Angeles at another exciting Engagement Party event especially for MOCA members featuring LIVE SPRAWL, a new interactive performance by Los Angeles–based artist collective Lucky Dragons this past Saturday. MOCA's First Thirty Years is the largest-ever installation of the museum's world-renowned permanent collection, which numbers nearly 6,000 works. Chris Burden's The Big Wheel (1979), on view at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, runs Monday, Thursday, and Friday at 11:30am and 2pm; Thursday at 6pm; and on Saturday and Sunday at 11:30am and 3pm.
