The Geffen Playhouse held a full dress rehearsal of their new production written by Joanna Murray-Smith last night. The 'feminist' best selling writer and professor was performed perfectly and passionately by Annette Bening. I hate to admit it but I was there for the evolution of feminism and the change in perspective and expectations it wrought on my generation of women. About halfway through, men begin to enter the scene and we get to experience the often confusing effects of the last 30 years on the male of the species. The ensemble cast made the piece great fun.
