Friends have been sending me "Eating Tips for the Holidays"; it's gone viral. The message begins with advice about crudites versus frosted cookies, pies, eggnog and fruitcake. Tip #5 was:
Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a holiday party is to eat other people's food for free. Lots of it. Good luck to all and to all a good night. Enjoy the holidays. January is just around the corner.
