Tulips by artist, Yayoi Kusama, is taking joggers and strollers alike by surprise on the park trail just beyond the flats in Beverly Hills. This whimsical piece of sculpture is constructed of fiberglass, ceramic tile and steel and was commission by the City of Beverly Hills Public Art Fund. The Hymn of Life is a bold and sprightly colored three-dimensional piece that delights; and although polka-dots have become her trademark Yayoi often experiments with other mediums. It is also the first public outdoor sculpture in the United states by the renowned Japanese artist.
