Having missed the opening of "Resource Wars" at Sundaram Tagore Gallery in Beverly Hills, I made a point of visiting the gallery today. Only a few blocks from Luxe Hotel Rodeo Drive, the aerial photography was bleak, dramatic, vast and delicate. From this elevated vantage point, the pieces conduct geological surveys from the skies. Subhankar Banerjee's portfolio skillfully combines rich visual reverences to photographic and painterly traditions.
