Our monthly employee luncheon fell on the Friday before Cinco de Mayo. Chef RaShon Smith made it a very festive occasion, replete with bartender and (unfortunately, virgin) margaritas. Thank you to everyone who works so hard to solicit such great comments from departing guests.Sunday I decided to get up early and go to the Pasadena City College flea market. Walked around for hours and looked at stuff from my grandmother’s attic to African tribal masks. When did the daisy pin, with the little ladybug, which I bought with a month’s worth of babysitting money in the 8th grade, become collectible?
Finished the day with a birthday party at The Crescent Hotel on a perfect balmy night for well-wishers. The UBS birthday girl gathered all of her favorite stock brokers for the evening.In the photos:
