Boutiques across Beverly Hills are dressed for the Chinese New Year of the Dragon.  From Wilshire Blvd. to Beverly Drive, store windows are filled with lanterns, dragons and splashes of red.  My fortune cookie reads: window shopping reflects happiness and good fortune.

Model, Petra Nemcova, was having breakfast today with Stephen Kamifuji of Genlux Magazine.  Chances are she's doing an upcoming fashion photo shoot, or dare I guess, the front cover.  Born in the Czech Republic, this Czech model, television host, author and philanthropist is the found of Happy Hearts Fund.  In 2055, Nemcova released her autobiography Love Always, Petra which tells of her early life under Communist rule to the most recent Thailand tsunami in which her fiance, photographer Simon Atlee, was killed.  Since this experience, Petra has continued to help families and children affected by natural disasters.

Cafe Rodeo celebrates Chinese New Year

Café Rodeo will be serving complimentary green ice tea from noon to 8pm on Friday, January 20^th.  Chef Jung has added Chinese Chicken Salad and dim sum to the Happy Hour Menu. As an added incentive, we’ve pledged 10% of all dining checks to the Chinese American Museum.  The Chinese American Museum provides educational programs that teach about the contributions of Chinese immigrants and citizens in America, while validating the diversity and contributions of all ethnic groups and is well supported by the local community.

Cafe Rodeo will be offering complimentary green ice tea from noon to 8pm on Friday, January 20 in honor of the Chinse Year of the Dragon.  Chef Jung is also adding Chinese Chicken Salad to the Happy Hour Menu.  A server on the street will be offering tea in small plastic cups to passers-by and inviting them to dine with us.  We further pledged 10% of all dining checks to the Chinese American Museum.  The Chinese American Museum provides educational programs that teach about the contributions of Chinese immigrants and citizens in America, while validating the diversity and contributions of all ethnic groups and is well supported by the local community.

Deloitte's annual business traveler survey shows that younger respondents appear to be more optimistic about an economic recovery -- and they expect to be doing more business travel this year because of an improving climate. The survey also indicates that hotel business should see a business-travel boost in 2012.
